I am the luckiest girl around to have had such a wonderful father. The world lost a wonderful being on Sept
11th, 1995. As each year goes by I find that my love for my Dad grows stronger. We all miss him!
He was the most unselfish, kindhearted person on this earth. One can only hope that I will become
half the person that he was. He sacrificed so much for our family to bring us happiness and joy his entire life. Always
putting his family and other first. He believed in me and always made me feel safe and happy no matter how bad I thought things
were. I used to work with him on some weekends on the construction sites helping him. Those days were the best! I miss him
greatly every day but he is constantly around me. After he died my mother gave me the paint set he used to paint with.
LITTLE ARTISTIC SECRET: Every painting I do I place a dot of paint in the painting
from my Father's paint set. This makes my paintings very personal and they must always be hung proudly and with love, for
a piece of my Father is in them. The dot of paint is blended into the canvas to represent an embrace that my Father
is giving each of my paintings.
Recently my Mom found his Dog tags from being in the Marines. She also found all of his pins that he used
to wear on his Marine uniforms. I wear these proudly! A token of remembrance that I wear next to my locket that has
his photo in it. When I am feeling sad or frustrated I open the locket and touch the photo to get strength and happiness
from my Dad.
